Bhubaneswar: Bharti Airtel Limited (“Airtel”), India’s no. 1 operator and the third largest mobile services provider globally with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, today announced the deployment of the largest 3G network in Odisha under “Project Leap” – the company’s recently launched network transformation program. This is one of the company’s many “Project Leap” initiatives aimed at perceptibly improving network quality and delivering the best customer experience in Odisha.

Making it the largest deployment in a single year, Airtel has rolled out 1,800 3G sites in Odisha, thus covering 109 census towns in the region and taking a decisive lead in delivering a differentiated customer experience. It has also bolstered its existing network of more than 5,000 2G sites and 8,564 kms of high fiber optic cable with an additional 234 2G sites this year and the introduction of 413 new 4G sites across 7 towns in Odisha (namely Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela, Balasore, Sambalpur and Barhampur) – thereby benefiting customers across the state.
