Even, we should look forward to market Brand Odisha in a big way through this medium”, said Mr. Sanjeeb kumar Mishra, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, IT Dept., Govt. of Odisha.
Mr. Mishra, as the Chief Guest of the occasion, inaugurated the event ‘Digital Marketing – the New Wave’, a seminar organised by ‘Confederation of Information Technology Enterprises’ (CITE), Odisha, in association with NASSCOM and OCAC.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mishra said that, IT has created huge potential in terms of knowledge and growth. He thus invited the attention of global investors to look at the state as a suitable destination. Especially, he advised young IT professionals to come out with great ideas and products to harness the potential in the field of IT. “Our Govt. is very keen to support all such investors and entrepreneurs “, he added.
Dr. Bijoy Kumar Sahoo, President, CITE, welcomed the guests and delegates of the event. On behalf of the organisation and the industry he expressed gratitude to the Govt., especially to OCAC, for supporting such awareness programmes. He further said that CITE is committed to conduct such awareness activities, on a regular interval, with the help of IT Dept. and the industry fraternity. While thanking NASSCOM for their support Dr. Sahoo invited them to hold some of their flagship events in Odisha in the future.
Mr. Nirupam Chaudhuri, Regional Head – East, National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), highlighted on the need of using Digital Media Tools and Technology for marketing of products and services. He also spoke on different activities undertaken by NASSCOM and also appreciated the programmes being conducted by CITE in the area of IT and ITES in Odisha.
Similarly, Mr. Kamal Agarwal, Chairman, ERPC, NASSCOM, highlighted on the forthcoming NASSCOM Product Conclave 2014, the flagship event that is going to be held at Kolkata on 17-18 July.
CITE’s Digital Marketing seminar witnessed a galaxy of entrepreneurs and professionals of the field from Odisha and outside. While Mr. Arun Agarwal, CMD, Ebiz India, moderated the workshop on ‘Digital Marketing – the New Wave’, Mr. Abhishek Rungta, Founder and CEO, Indus Net Technologies; Mr. Surojit Sen, Director, Digital JWT and Mr. Dwarika Prasad Tripathy, CTO, AuroIN (India) participated as panellists from the industry.
Many young professionals, CEOs and CTOs of companies and industry stalwarts participated in the event.
