Bhubaneswar: Third Odisha solar conference to start from October 31 at Bhubaneswar. The conference is scheduled to be inaugurated by state energy minister Pranab Prakash Das.
The third annual conference on solar energy in the state would be hosted under the joint aegis of Cleantech Special Interest Group (SIG) of TiE Bhubaneswar Chapter, and Canyon Consultancy Pvt Ltd. For the first time, the event is being supported by the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
Among others, Praveen Saxena, advisor to MNRE and Director General of National Institute of Solar Energy and RK Sharma, Odisha forest and environment secretary would share their expertise at the conference, which would be attended by more than 200 delegates across the state, the organizers informed in a press meet in the city on Wednesday.
The key topics which are likely to be dwelled upon by experts in the conference are – Solar Policy of Odisha, Renewable Purchase Obligation, Solar City/Green Campus, experience sharing of State and Central Agencies and investors along with subjects covering both Grid-connected and Off-grid Roof-top and Mini-grid Solar applications.
